As our HIM Associate, you will be responsible for obtaining accurate information for the birth certificate reporting and preparing the certificates in accordance with state rules and regulations. Every day, you will coordinate and organize birth certificate information to ensure effective workflow and provide quality assurance in the Birth Certificate process. Here’s what you will experience working as our HIM Associate: Interview obstetrical patients to complete the worksheets for the necessary information on the birth certificate. Examine the medical records of mother and baby to accurately complete the health section of the certificate through paper and electronic record. Provide patients with verification of birth as requested for financial assistance or other legitimate purposes, as well as flag all adoption recordings according to policy. Process health information requests in compliance with state and general disclosure laws, ensuring timely and accurate release of documentation. Engage daily with various requestors, such as patients, payors, and physician offices, to manage information requests effectively. For this US-based position, the base pay range is $16.00 - $21.88 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
