About The Position

The HIL - Maintenance Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation and upkeep of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing systems within the organization. This position is responsible for coordinating all maintenance activities, scheduling repairs, and managing resources to minimize downtime and maximize system availability. The coordinator will work closely with engineering, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure that all HIL equipment is maintained to the highest standards of reliability and performance. By proactively identifying potential issues and implementing preventive maintenance strategies, the role supports continuous testing operations and contributes to overall project success. Ultimately, the Maintenance Coordinator ensures that HIL systems remain operational, safe, and efficient, enabling the organization to meet its testing and development goals on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in Engineering, Technical Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance coordination or a similar role, preferably within a testing or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems and their operational requirements.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related discipline.
  • Experience working with automated testing systems and familiarity with electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to testing equipment.
  • Certification in maintenance management or project management (e.g., PMP, CMRP).
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage maintenance schedules for all HIL testing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Coordinate and oversee repair activities, including liaising with internal technical teams and external service providers.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and service histories to support compliance and audit requirements.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues to implement preventive maintenance measures.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to align maintenance activities with testing schedules and project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements related to HIL equipment maintenance.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies to support timely repairs and upkeep.
  • Provide regular reports on maintenance status, challenges, and improvements to senior management.
