By joining our Project Delivery & Preservation Branch as a Highway Technician I in Henry County, you’ll have the opportunity to coordinate the work of others that are part of the maintenance team. Summary of Responsibilities: Operate equipment such as boom saw, excavator or self-propelled paver Complete daily inspection reports Quality assurance inspector Coordinate crew assignments Train new employees Ideal candidate will have experience in: High school diploma or equivalent Must have 4 years of construction or highway maintenance experience Benefits and Perks: Comprehensive health with optional dental and vision insurance. Additional position information: Individual will be exposed to risks inherent to working with large equipment and machines involved with road construction. Must be able to work extended hours and be outside during inclement weather. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have 4 years of construction or highway maintenance experience
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a Class A commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement to qualify for employment in this job classification.
- The employee must successfully complete the KYTC Highway Technician Academy Level 2 or equivalent within one year of employment in this job classification.
- Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
