About The Position

This position serves the public by performing highway maintenance activities to make roads safer in Ohio. Responsibilities include flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, mowing, and snow & ice operations. The role is based at the Mahoning County Maintenance Facility.

Requirements

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions
• Ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary
• 3 months training or 3 months experience in operation of basic equipment
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction
• Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Perform highway maintenance activities, including flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, mowing
• Perform snow & ice operations
