Highway Maintenance Supervisors supervise skilled and semi-skilled personnel engaged in restoring roadway surfaces and restoring or constructing slopes, shoulders, culverts, structures, fixtures and landscaping. Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action. Highway Maintenance Supervisor I's are responsible for maintenance activities, including but not limited to pavement repair, fence repair, planning and scheduling day-to-day operations, and district betterment projects. Coordinating equipment and personnel with other crews, schedule winter operations, and perform related tasks.
