Highway Maintenance Summer Worker
About The Position
This position is for a Highway Maintenance Summer Worker at McLeod County. The role involves assisting maintenance staff with various activities including making signs, flagging, patching, cleaning bridges, vegetation control, and shop maintenance. Additionally, the worker will assist the Sign Technician in the replacement or installation of highway signs. The position is subject to a background check, which may include criminal history, credit, driver’s license, pre-employment physical assessment, pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, and psychological testing.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Valid Minnesota driver’s license with proof of insurance.
Responsibilities
- Assist maintenance staff with various activities; including, but not limited to: making signs, flagging, patching, cleaning bridges, vegetation control, shop maintenance, etc.
- Assist Sign Technician in the replacement or installation of highway signs.
- Perform job related duties as assigned or apparent.
