About The Position

Assists in the application of principles, methods, engineering fundamentals and techniques of civil and highway design engineering technology with the assistance of AutoCad and other engineering software, by translating designs and providing technical support, to the Design and Right-of-Way sections of the Roads program.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or technical school in Engineering, Surveying, Design, or AutoCAD; or six years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• No additional experience required
• An individual should have knowledge of Design software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
• Must be proficient in most engineering software such as AutoCAD or Eagle Point, design, hydraulic modeling, interfacing word processing software, also with standard drafting and engineering equipment.
• Must have advanced mathematical skills and general knowledge of construction and surveying methods.
• Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
