About The Position

The High School Testing Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and flawless execution of all major assessments at the school site, including interim exams, ACT/SAT, EOCs, AP exams, Lexile assessments, and related celebrations. This role ensures that testing runs smoothly, securely, and yields accurate student data to drive critical academic decisions. Core Testing Coordination Work in close collaboration with the Director of Academic Operations to plan, execute, and troubleshoot all stages of testing operations. Interim Exams Implement school-based interim exam schedules. Ensure testing environments and materials are compliant and well-organized. Secure accurate student data collection for instructional planning. ACT & Pre-ACT Coordinate with regional partners to deliver smooth administration of ACT and Pre-ACT exams. Oversee student rosters, room assignments, and proctor preparation. End-of-Course (EOC) Exams Manage logistics for EOC exam implementation, including training, materials handling, and testing accommodations. Ensure secure and standardized administration aligned to state requirements. Advanced Placement (AP) Exams Lead school-based implementation of AP testing, including College Board registration and compliance. Prepare proctor schedules and exam day procedures. SAT Exams Coordinate administration of SAT testing days including student eligibility, room assignments, and proctor deployment. Ensure test integrity and smooth operations on test day. Lexile Testing Lead Lexile testing logistics and data capture. Use assessment data to support curriculum pathways and student growth tracking. Culture & Student Engagement Design and implement school-wide testing celebrations and incentive systems to promote strong participation and positive student culture around assessment. Collaborate with school leaders to recognize testing achievements and create a motivating environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3–5+ years in quantitative information systems, education data, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • K-12 data operations, SIS administration, or assessment data management
  • Proven ownership of data quality: imports/exports, validation, state reporting, and assessment windows.
  • FERPA and data governance
  • student data lifecycle (enrollment → scheduling → attendance → grades → transcripts)
  • State reporting schemas and file formats
  • basic understanding of IDEA data elements
  • Assessment ecosystems (NWEA, DIBELS, ACT, etc.) and roster integrations.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, Python, or Tableau
  • Advanced Excel/Sheets (nested formulas, pivots, Power Query/Query)
  • CSV hygiene
  • SIS admin (PowerSchool/Infinite Campus or similar)
  • SFTP workflows
  • Basic SQL for querying and QA
  • dashboard tools (Tableau/Looker/Power BI) for publishing reports.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate SQL and light scripting (Python or Google Apps Script) for ETL/automation
  • Experience leading state submissions and calendaring data deadlines
  • Data governance certification (e.g., DCAM fundamentals) or analytics certs.
