About The Position

Trinity Academy is a Christ -centered high school committed to developing students spiritually, academically, and athletically. As a competitive 3A program in the Central Plains League, we seek to build a football program that honors God, cultivates strong character, and develops young men into leaders on and off the field.
Trinity Academy is seeking a Defensive Coordinator who is passionate about football and dedicated to shaping young men into Christ -honoring leaders. The ideal candidate will have a strong faith foundation and a desire to impact young men through mentorship and coaching.

Requirements

• Must be a Christian with a strong personal faith and a commitment to integrating biblical principles into coaching.
• Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level, preferably in a defensive coaching role.
• Strong knowledge of defensive schemes, strategies, and player development.

Nice To Haves

• Collegiate playing or coaching experience.
• Experience in strength & conditioning programs.
• Ability to contribute to academic, administrative, or other roles within the school.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive defensive strategy that aligns with the team’s philosophy and goals.
• Lead, train, and mentor student -athletes in fundamental techniques, game strategy, and character development.
• Foster a positive, faith -driven team culture that emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and accountability.
• Scout opponents, analyze film, and prepare game plans to maximize team performance.
• Work collaboratively with the head coach and coaching staff to create a cohesive and competitive football program.
• Assist in offseason training, strength and conditioning programs, and player development.
• Engage with players beyond the field to provide spiritual guidance, encouragement, and mentorship.
• Contribute to the broader mission of Trinity Academy through school involvement, community engagement, and discipleship opportunities.
