About The Position
CURRENT INTERNAL TEACHERS ONLY Summer Academy will be held from June 30, 2026, to July 30, 2026, with online learning throughout July, with face-to-face support 3 days per week (Tues. - Thurs.). Classes will be asynchronous learning supported by TCAPS-certified staff. Summer Academy teachers will instruct and support students who need to recover credit. Staff will also communicate with home high schools, counselors, administration, and parents. Academy Dates and Times: Enrollment for Summer Academy is June 25, 2026 - June 26, 2026 Program Dates: June 30, 2026 - July 30, 2026 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays Time: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. is the face-to-face lab hours for students. Location: Traverse City High School Schedule and Pay: $33/hour (via timesheet) Before June 30 , additional time will be provided for logistics, student enrollment and preparation June 30 - July 30 , - Summer Academy (students present 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 15 days @ 4 hours per day (60 total hours) After July 30 , additional time will be provided for logistics related to closing Summer Academy
Requirements
- Secondary Teaching Certificate in Math, English, Science, Social Studies, and/or Special Education
