About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking three highly skilled Special Education Teachers to join a prominent secondary program for the remainder of the '25-'26 school year. Whether your expertise lies in inclusive co-teaching or specialized practical skills instruction, we have a rewarding role designed for your unique teaching strengths! Position Overview: Manage the full Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, including development, systematic data collection, and progress monitoring via IEP Direct. General Education Support & Co-Teaching — 2 Positions Collaborate with General Education teachers to co-teach core subjects in an inclusive setting. Lead smaller, targeted classes focused on executive functioning and self-contained core instruction. Practical Skills & Intellectual Disabilities Program — 1 Position Design and implement specialized curricula for students with intellectual disabilities. Manage daily classroom operations and provide leadership to paraprofessional staff within the Practical Skills program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Connecticut Special Education Certification (165 Endorsement Required)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IEP data collection
  • Proven ability to manage both co-teaching and self-contained environments at the secondary level
