This position is for the Stride K12 partner school, Arizona Virtual Academy (AZVA), which aims to deliver an individualized and engaging educational experience through school and community/family partnerships, a rigorous curriculum, and a data-driven, student-centered instructional model. Student success is measured by assessment data, satisfaction, and institutional growth. The High School Science teacher is a highly qualified, state-certified educator responsible for delivering specific online course content. Teachers provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and cater to individual student needs. They monitor progress via Stride K12’s learning management system and collaborate with students and parents/learning coaches to achieve learning goals. While typically working from home, teachers must travel occasionally for school functions like state testing or as required by the school. This is a full-time position requiring independent work, typically 40+ hours per week, and maintaining a professional home office without distractions during work hours (e.g., 9-5 or 8-4).
