About The Position

Cross Country Education is looking for a dynamic Math Teacher to lead our 9th–12th graders through the essentials of Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Calc. Position Overview: Develop and facilitate engaging lessons in Pre-Calculus, Geometry, and Algebra, tailoring methods to ensure all students master core mathematical concepts. Administer and analyze assessment data to provide targeted feedback and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Lead targeted breakout sessions and one-on-one coaching during class time to address specific learning gaps identified through daily formative assessments. Engage in the school community as a proactive and collaborative member of the educational team, contributing to and maintaining a positive learning environment that fosters academic growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- New York City Teaching Certificate (Preferred)
- Non-Certified candidates must hold a minimum of 12 credits in Mathematics and provide an official transcript
- 1-2 years of high school teaching experience; specific experience within high school Mathematics (Pre-Calculus, Geometry, and Algebra) (Highly Preferred)
