About The Position
Tutor Doctor New Jersey, a locally owned tutoring company serving our community for over 15 years, is seeking experienced High School Math Tutors to support students in High School Math subjects specifically in Algebra II and Pre-Calculus. We are looking for reliable, knowledgeable educators who are confident teaching math through at least the Pre-Calculus level.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in high school math through Pre-Calculus (required)
- Bachelor’s degree required (education, mathematics, engineering, or related field preferred)
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience strongly preferred
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently
- Reliable transportation for in-person sessions
- Professional, dependable, and responsive
Nice To Haves
- AP experience
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one, in-person tutoring to high school students
- Support students in Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus (AP experience a plus)
- Develop individualized lesson plans based on student needs
- Reinforce classroom instruction and help students prepare for tests and exams
- Communicate progress clearly and professionally
- Submit brief session notes after each tutoring session
