About The Position
St. Catherine's High School is seeking a full time Math Teacher for the 26/27 school year and beyond. It is described as a great small school with a family feel. St. Catherine's High School is one of seven schools within Siena Catholic Schools of Racine, which comprises six elementary/middle schools and one high school that serve more than 1,600 students. Siena Catholic Schools aims to guide the organization toward its goal of ensuring excellence in academics, nurturing faith formation, and developing healthy students. As a teacher, Siena Catholic Schools offers small class sizes (average 20 students with a 10:1 student-teacher ratio), a faith-based approach to education, a diverse urban student population, and a focus on nurturing lifelong learners prepared for success in college, career, community, and the Church.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate subject area.
- Knowledge of application of best teaching practices
- Ability to work in a high achieving school in a diverse environment.
Nice To Haves
- Appropriate State of Wisconsin licensing and certification
- Demonstrate commitment to the principles of Catholic Faith.
- High School teaching experience
- Have general knowledge of transformative technology instruction.
Responsibilities
- Inspiring students and promoting mastery in subject area.
- Helping to develop and implement curriculum that aligned with Wisconsin State Standards and Common Core Standards as they evolve.
- Providing continual assessment of student progress and maintaining records.
- Continually evaluating instructional performance to meet the needs of the students.
