Position Description River Mill Academy is seeking a qualified and motivated High School Math Teacher to join our team beginning January 1, 2026 . The successful candidate will provide engaging and effective instruction to high school students in mathematics, foster a positive learning environment, and contribute to the school’s academic and extracurricular programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Education.
• Valid North Carolina Teaching License in Secondary Mathematics (9–12) or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to integrate technology and innovative instructional strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver standards-based math lessons for high school students.
• Implement differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Use data and formative assessments to guide instructional decisions.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student achievement.
• Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student progress.
• Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
