About The Position

The candidate will be a dedicated professional who understands the joys and demands of teaching Math at the secondary level and has an in-depth knowledge of the subject matter. Teachers are expected to develop daily lessons that meet the goals of the classes, complete grading, maintain an advisory group and lead advisory group meetings, as well as perform all basic administrative duties (ex. Maintain attendance records, accurate grade book, comment writing). The mission of the Catholic school is to “Teach as Jesus did,” thereby mandating teachers in our schools to be reflections of Christ’s love and concern. The Classroom Teacher plans, guides, and evaluates the learning process of students. This position reports to the assistant principal and has decision-making responsibilities within the framework of school policies, philosophy, organization, and curriculum. The following Teacher Competencies are standards that are to be maintained: Classroom Management Instructional Proficiency Professional Attitude and Performance Professional Interaction Professional Growth All candidates must be able to pass background checks and comply with the Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Program. Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in Math or at least 24 credits in Math from an accredited university.
  • A valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the subject and level assigned
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid technology skills for use in instructional and professional tasks
  • Ability to pass background checks and comply with the Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Program.
  • Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to teach AP and dual credit courses is preferred.
