As a High School Intern - Machinist here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in our machining processes to ensure the production of high-quality parts. You will operate and set up various machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision components. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations and the overall growth of our business. In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and quality of our machining processes by operating and setting up machines, interpreting blueprints and specifications, and conducting quality inspections. Key Responsibilities Working 1:1 with a mentor, you will apply your current skills and learn to: Operate and set up machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision components Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production flow Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency Are you ready to help us make the future? Requirements

  • Be a US Person
  • Have earned a High School Diploma from an Arizona school during the 2025-26 school year.
  • Have hands-on classroom experience in the operation of machining equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Have basic knowledge of mechanical components and systems.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Have good manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
  • Honeywell is currently unable to consider applicants who would require current or future sponsorship for employment authorization for this position.
  • Candidates must be authorized to legally work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.
