About The Position

Valley Christian Schools is seeking a High School Girls’ Flag Football Coach to lead and develop a competitive, Christ-centered athletic program. The coach is responsible for organizing and coaching practices and games while mentoring student-athletes spiritually, emotionally, and athletically. This position plays a vital role in fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and personal growth consistent with the mission and values of VCS.

Requirements

Experience in HS Athletic Coaching or Athletic Administration preferred.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to implement a proper volleyball program and to execute the program successfully.
CPR/First Aid Certification plus any other certifications required
Active membership/attendance at a Protestant Christian church is required.
Supports the Mission and Doctrinal Statement of Valley Christian Schools

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and lead all team practices, games, tryouts, and related activities
Teach flag football fundamentals, rules, strategies, and techniques appropriate to the high school level
Actively coach student-athletes during games and competitions
Prepare the team for league and postseason competition
Develop individual and team skills while emphasizing safety and injury prevention
Mentor and disciple student-athletes in Christ-like character, leadership, and sportsmanship
Communicate effectively with the Athletic Directors, parents, and students
Conduct parent meetings to explain program expectations and seasonal goals
Assist with equipment management, inventory, and care
Ensure student safety during practices and games by teaching proper techniques andenforcing safety protocols
Follow all school policies regarding supervision, injury reporting, and emergency procedures
