SY 26-27 High School Assistant Cross Country Coach
About The Position
Responsibilities Assist the Head Coach with daily practice organization and implementation Provide consistent supervision of student-athletes during practices, meets, travel, and team activities Ensure athlete safety, accountability, and adherence to team and school expectations Monitor attendance and communicate availability or concerns to the Head Coach Support meet-day operations including warm-ups, course supervision, check-ins, and post-race procedures Reinforce positive behavior, sportsmanship, and team culture Serve as a reliable and professional representative of Center High School Qualifications Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent presence throughout the season Strong supervision and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff and school administration Prior coaching or running experience preferred but not required Must meet all district and MSHSAA coaching requirements Commitment Seasonal position aligned with the fall cross country season Attendance at practices, meets, and required team events is expected
