About The Position

This position is contingent upon successful contract award. Responsible for management and oversight of a cadre of qualified instructors. Ensures the safe and effective delivery of high-risk training in small arms, crew-served weapons, and maritime security tactics. Serves as the primary point of contact for onsite operations, balancing instructional duties with administrative leadership and strict safety enforcement in accordance with Navy policies.

Requirements

  • Honorable discharge from active-duty military service with a favorable reenlistment code (verified by DD-214).
  • Prior experience in USN Naval Coastal Warfare, Maritime Expeditionary Security, Riverine, Coast Riverine, or Special Operations.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of documented instructional experience.
  • Graduate of a certified Navy Instructor Training Course (e.g., NEC 9502, 9501, 805A, or 9518) or a JIT/NITC-equivalent civilian course.
  • Must be a qualified Range Safety Officer (RSO) or ossess a civilian industry standard equivalent for CSW and small arms.
  • Completion of CUIT, ICQP, command/course indoctrination, and high-risk screenings prior to the start date.
  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
  • Must have recent (within the last 3 years) qualifications on: M9/M18 Pistol (or replacement) M4/M16 Rifle (or variants) M500 Shotgun
  • Must be capable of qualifying on the M240 Machine Gun, M2HB .50 cal Machine Gun, and M203 Grenade Launcher.
  • Expert proficiency in written and spoken English; able to brief senior leadership and deliver clear commands in high-stress environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for operational reporting.
  • Must maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Must meet all high-risk medical screening requirements.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in demanding environments and remain stationary or active for long periods on live-fire ranges.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience from high-tier tactical schools (e.g., Blackwater, Mid-South, Gryphon, SFAUC, or MCAUC) is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Site Management: Supervise a team of instructors to ensure consistent delivery of high-risk curricula. Monitor instructor performance and maintain training schedules.
  • Safety Oversight: Act as the primary authority for range safety and high-risk environments. Enforce all Navy safety protocols and manage the high-risk screening process for students and staff.
  • Instructional Delivery: Lead and support classroom and live-fire training for individual and crew-served weapons systems.
  • Certification Management: Oversee the Instructor Certification and Qualification Program (ICQP) for the site and ensure all staff maintain current Core Unique Instructor Training (CUIT) credentials.
  • Range Operations: Serve as a Range Safety Officer (RSO) for static and dynamic live-fire ranges involving small arms and crew-served weapons (CSW).
  • Compliance& Admin: Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office to track training data, manage student qualifications, and generate operational reports.
  • Readiness: Ensure all medical (CPR/AED/First Aid) and security clearances are maintained for the site staff.
