About The Position

The Communication Director manages coordination of department and its programs, including community relations, media relations, publications, advertising, event planning, external communications and promotions; This is a multi-faceted job that requires organizational and multi-tasking skills, and grace under pressure.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 10 years experience in marketing/public relations required.
Strong writing skills required.
Ability to plan, organize and implement a comprehensive marketing program
Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a fundraising team of professionals and volunteers
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
Ability to provide ongoing analysis of marketing programs
Motivation, innovation, and creativity in implementing compelling marketing campaigns for Foundation programs and events
Ability to involve and motivate others
Ability to multi-task, organize, plan and follow through with complex projects
Ability work under deadline pressures
Flexibility in hours when projects/events involve evening and weekend work.
Outstanding work ethic and commitment to quality work a must!
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Suite; social media management; website management experience; and email marketing campaign creation and distribution.
