ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES: By following the Care Plan that has been completed by the Nursing Supervisor, the Home Health Aide may provide assistance with the following: Assures the maximum quality of life by helping maintain a healthy and safe environment. Assist with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, walking and feeding the client and other ADLS Light housekeeping and laundry Assist with certain treatments and therapy as ordered by the physician and approved by the nursing supervisor. Medication reminders Use medical supplies and equipment as per care plan Provide emotional support and develop a trusting relationship with client Encourage client independence. Requirements
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- Must have a current NY HHA certificate with evidence of ongoing in-service education to maintain the certificate.
- Compassionate and a desire to help others
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be dependable and trustworthy.
- Maintain compliance and training with with all agency and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Able to lift, turn and transfer clients
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Provide direct care according to the established client plan of care.
