About The Position

The Restaurant Manager is required to lead by example through hands-on involvement of all aspects of Herons service. The Restaurant Manager must be visible to associates and customers alike, always representing the ownership’s core values on guest service and fair treatment of all associates. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for creating a clean, organized and efficient workplace. The Restaurant Manager will report directly to the Executive Assistant Manager of Hotel Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting, selecting and training Herons associates.
  • Provide guidance to AM Herons Manager.
  • Developing ongoing training for Herons associates.
  • Ordering of necessary Service and Food products for Herons.
  • Scheduling and timecard management through Paycom.
  • Provide guidance to AM Herons Manager.
  • Updating and print all Herons Menus as well as maintenance of the printers.
  • Process tips and payroll for the Department.
  • Provide guidance to AM Herons Manager.
  • Update Micros for menu changes and ensure accuracy
  • Strive for high associates satisfaction through proper leadership motivation.
  • Maintain professional relations with associates, treating with respect and holding accountable to hotel standards.
  • Ensuring proper Conduct Training for all new Herons employees.
  • Interact with guests to ensure quality guest experiences
  • Follow up with guests on any given issue pertaining to Herons.
  • Create personalized service experiences.
  • Daily direction and supervision of Herons service staff.
  • Provide guidance to AM Herons Manager.
  • Work closely with the reservations department to ensure a smooth flow of guests for each meal period.
  • Control flow of room during service.
  • Maintain the highest quality standards for guest service in Herons
  • Implement new creative and thoughtful standards of practice and steps of service to improve our service program and guest experience.
  • Be conscious of and understand current states and recent trends of Herons finances.
  • Control employee scheduled hours and overtime.
  • Manage other operating costs to annual budgets.
  • Be involved in the annual budgeting process for Herons.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist in other areas.
  • Demonstrate open communication between kitchen and front of house.
  • Demonstrate open communication between Herons AM team and Herons PM team.
  • Build and mentor a service team that is committed to the highest quality service, delivering Forbes Five Star experiences.
  • Instill a calm, organized approach in all situations or conflicts
  • Display excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Instill associate recognition in Herons
