About The Position
Founded in 1897, St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, IL, is an 182-bed facility that has been a cornerstone of specialty and emergency care, available 24/7. We specialize in advanced surgical treatments for critical injuries and illnesses, ensuring that our care teams are attentive to your unique health needs. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- One year of hemodialysis experience preferred.
- Hemodialysis Technician Certification, or equivalent training.
Responsibilities
- The Hemodialysis Technician is an unlicensed health care provider responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse in the care of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment within scope of practice.
- Responsibilities include maintenance and disinfection of dialysis equipment, ordering and stocking supplies necessary for in- patient dialysis treatment.
- Monitoring and cleaning supply area as well as other duties as assigned.
