Then you may be an excellent candidate for a HEMA Analyst III role within our Health Economics and Market Access team supporting Boston Scientific's Interventional Cardiology (IC) business.

  • Address business questions by leveraging robust data resources, including Medicare payment and claims data, commercial carrier claims data, clinical research information and hospital discharge data. Analyses may be used to:
  • Inform market models (for strategic planning or investment opportunities)
  • Construct calculators, dashboards, tools and reports
  • Support Medicare payment policy strategy
  • Develop analytic plans, utilize knowledge of available data assets (e.g. Medicare claims data, CMS payment information), and provide consultative advice to achieve analytics objectives.
  • Maintain and update health economic and reimbursement resources for the IC business unit, including coding guides, coverage requirements, and reimbursement calculators.
  • Monitor/assess health policy updates impacting the business' commercially marketed products and develop related communications to inform senior management.
  • Foster and maintain a collaborative relationship with cross-functional colleagues (marketing, clinical, new business development, corporate sales).
  • Maintain high standards for data quality, reporting, and timely project execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in public health, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, health care administration or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in healthcare related role
  • Knowledge of U.S. healthcare systems including health policy trends, payment systems (inpatient/outpatient/ASC/physician) and associated documentation/coding requirements.
  • Experience working with new medical technologies/devices
  • Ability to advance initiatives independently and in a fast-paced matrix environment
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Strong communications skills
  • Master's degree in public health, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, health care administration or related discipline
  • Knowledge of SAS, SQL, or Python programming
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with U.S. medical claims data
  • Familiarity with interventional cardiology procedures
  • Experience working as part of both functional and cross-functional teams
