About The Position
The mission of the boat builder helper is improve the productivity of the boat builder by preparing all surfaces, parts and equipment for the boat builder.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for welding and fitment
- Cleaning and grinding the welded area to remove slag
- Filing hull for rail fitment
- Assist boat builder in positioning, aligning and fitting fabricated parts together
- Retrieve and stage parts for boat builders
- Install tape on all required areas to prevent foam breach
- Tack and weld parts
- Keeping area clean and organized
- Parts ready for boat builders at correct time
- Welds are free from slag
