About The Position

Flanigan’s Enterprises is looking to add a highly skilled and qualified person to our IT Team as a Help Desk Support Technician. Candidate must be willing to work weekends. Be proficient in troubleshooting issues with POS, computers, printers and network systems.

Requirements

  • Computer Science Degree \ Certifications or prior Help Desk support experience
  • Basic computer troubleshooting knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
  • Working knowledge of computer networks
  • Ability to demonstrate strong customer service tendencies
  • A willingness to learn the troubleshooting process
  • Able to maintain a calm, professional demeanor on the phone
  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task on several projects
  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience in the restaurant industry or other POS system a plus
  • Bi-Lingual in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in via phone, chat or email
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Research questions using available information resources
  • Advise user on appropriate action
  • Follow up with users to ensure complete resolution of issues
  • Redirect problems to correct resource
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks and Wide Area networks
  • Answer inquiries regarding POS systems
  • Maintain detailed records of daily communication, issues and remedial actions taken in our Helpdesk application
