About The Position

Our Help Desk Technician will be responsible for providing hardware, software, and communication support to maintain the efficiency of the computer systems installed at Soarion.

Requirements

  • (1) A two year college degree or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
  • 1-3 years’ of similar or related experience.
  • Hands on experience with diagnosing and resolving basic technical issues.
  • Must have diagnostic and maintenance abilities with PC hardware, software and Local Area Network.
  • Must be familiar with Windows operating systems, the Internet and telephone system experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Researches and provides timely resolutions to outstanding Help Desk trouble tickets.
  • Provides software support to Credit Union staff in the following areas: hardware installation, software development, troubleshooting of issues and performing unlocks for third party systems.
  • Works with Operation and Infrastructure team to tests software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work.
  • Installs software, peripherals and components.
  • End User Account Management
  • Provides escort and monitors third parties access to systems, computers and other devices.
  • Work with third-party vendors for account issues, tickets updates, weekly statistics, escalation of issues.
  • Responsible for the proper care of Credit Union owned equipment including installation, maintenance, cleaning and disposal.
  • Maintains working knowledge of use of third-party software solutions.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
