About The Position

SERVICE DESK TECHNICIAN - INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES - CORPORATE OFFICE (AUSTIN, MN) Please Note This position will support department business hours of 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be flexible dependent upon business needs, as well as the incumbent's needs. Requirements

Two years post high school technical education or equivalent.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and follow-through.
Demonstrated pattern of initiative.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and balance multiple tasks at once.
Knowledge of PC hardware.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and Windows.
Basic understanding of computer networks and components, including Ethernet, wireless, and TCP/IP.
Must be able to lift personal computer equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Provides technical computer support and training to internal computer users, which is primarily accomplished via the telephone.
Assists internal computer users with resolutions to questions and problems regarding computer software, hardware, and services.
Identifies, researches, and provides solutions for these issues to the satisfaction of the computer users’ requirements.
Coordinates the referral of difficult questions and problems to appropriate technical, professional or service personnel.
