About The Position

BASIS Jack Lewis Jr Campus is currently seeking candidates for a Help Desk Technician to start ASAP! Position Summary The Help Desk Technician's primary role is to provide help desk operations and ensure that end users are receiving appropriate assistance for all technology needs. This includes all help desk requests and resolutions. The person in this position needs to have an entry-level knowledge of systems administration, customer service and strong desktop support experience and expertise. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in IT, a willingness to learn and a passion for helping others in an educational setting.

Requirements

  • No prior experience required; however, a basic understanding or coursework in IT, Computer Science or a related field is beneficial.
  • Experience in a customer service or technical support role is helpful.
  • Familiarity with basic computer systems and software applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to learning and development.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manager time efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for employees requiring technical support and ensure timely and professional resolution of service requests.
  • Provide technical support to internal staff regarding desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration.
  • Assist users with software installations and upgrades.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of hardware and software assets.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in the IT field.
