About The Position

Mission Multiplier is looking for a Help Desk Technician II to support a government customer onsite at McChord AFB, WA. This position will provide expertise in the management for user access to the United States Mobility Air Force's online systems and communications networked information systems, electronic documents, technical orders, mail; standard network configuration and operation systems, along with standard desktop configuration software and operation system and has the responsibility for the technical administration and operational monitoring of logistics systems.

Requirements

  • Must have at least a High School diploma AND 3-5 years of specialized
  • Specialized experience from the areas identified below: Computing Environment and Operating System for desktop software
  • Knowledge and experience with standard Information Assurance concepts, practices, and procedures within the Network Environment.
  • Must possess a U.S. Secret Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification (CompTIA Security + CE) or equivalent IAW DoD 8570 requirements.
  • Operating Systems (OS) Certification (Windows 11 OS, etc.)
  • Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15-25 pounds at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with Headquarters (HQ) Air Mobility Command (AMC) Logistics Integration and Weapon Systems Logistic Networking (LOGNET) Program Manager to determine requirements supporting end users.
  • Provide research, design, and/or modifies for enterprise-wide systems and/or applications.
  • Provide installation level managerial guidance supporting the Logistics Information System in sortie generation and integrate with Maintenance Information Systems operations.
  • Provide installation level end user support and guidance of the eTools (mobile devices, hand held devices, laptops, and computers) and Logistics Information System server environment within the Logistics
  • Provide installation level technical administration and operational monitoring of eTools and
  • Provide technical support at on-site installations and off-site support for installations without dedicated staff support (i.e., enroutes).
  • Provide technical administration and operational monitoring of eTools and Logistics Information System servers as follows:
  • Manage government approved mobile devices, laptops, and computers (wired, or wireless) for Logistics functions.
  • Perform equipment installations, peripheral connections, installation, and deletion of software consistent with standard configurations and/or established policies.
  • Performs system-level design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, operating system, and other platform specifications.
  • Detects system, network, and application anomalies; resolves and/or escalates matters of significance to reduce the impact to global customers and maximize system
  • Utilizes software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses problems and factors affecting network performance.
  • Provide minor software and hardware maintenance, such as board replacement and/or upgrading components and installing software updates and Replacement parts will be provided by the Government at Government expense or through warranty programs.
  • Implement network security policies and procedures for Logistics functions equipment by installation or higher computer support agencies and organization's Computer Systems Security Management of or enter trouble ticket items to include problem resolutions, date/time problem reported, date/time problem fixed, and recommendations into United States government
  • Ensures all Logistics eTools and servers (hardware and software) comply with Air Force and DoD Information Assurance security
  • Prepare, document, manage, and maintain required user access documents (i.e., laptop agreements, mobile device agreements, information assurance training).
  • Track and manage government furnished equipment designated by Air Mobility Command and in accordance with all applicable Air Mobility Command, USAF and DoD instructions, policies, and guidelines.
  • Provides work guidance to less experienced personnel.
