About The Position

As a Help Desk Intern, you will play an important hands-on role in helping keep XiFin’s employees productive, supported, and equipped for success. You’ll assist the IT team in providing frontline technical support to end users, helping troubleshoot hardware, software, and system issues while developing your technical problem‑solving skills in a real-world environment. You’ll also learn how to document tickets, communicate solutions clearly, and partner with team members across the organization to resolve issues efficiently. In addition to IT support, you will gain exposure to facilities operations, helping with tasks such as office equipment setup, coordinating workspace needs, prepping meeting rooms, assisting with on‑site logistics for events or trainings, and ensuring that shared office spaces remain functional and organized. This combined role allows you to support both the technology and the physical workplace experience, giving you a broader understanding of how operational teams keep a modern SaaS organization running smoothly.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Information Systems or a related field
  • Demonstrated technical ability and trouble shooting skills
  • Strong understanding and utilization of Microsoft Excel
  • Able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Create a tracking process for all Information Technology Costs.
  • Create and deploy a tracking system for equipment and asset deployment.
  • Perform hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Provide desktop OS and application support primarily on the Microsoft platform.
  • Upgrade and troubleshoot various workstation and laptop hardware.
  • Email and smartphone support.
  • Perform VPN client configuration and support.
  • Troubleshoot wired and wireless network issues including minor cable termination.
  • Troubleshoot printers and manage supplies.
  • IT asset tracking, support ticketing, and software compliance.
  • Provide basic phone system end user support.
