Position Purpose: Provide hands-on training to corporate quality staff and line of business partners. Training will encompass, but not limited to: Star measures and HEDIS or HEDIS like measures. Liaise to ensure training curriculum and content reflect the latest quality requirements. The HEDIS Clinical Trainer is primarily remote. Candidates will be considered nationally.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in nursing
  • 2+ years of experience in nursing, managed care, training, or related field
  • LPN or RN license required
  • Valid driver's license may be required
  • Nursing license required

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of HEDIS experience
  • 2+ years as a LPN or RN
  • Prior training experience

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate in-person and virtual clinical trainings
  • Identify, select and develop, in conjunction with subject matter experts, plan-specific curriculum content and teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference work
  • Coordinate and build collaborative working relationships with subject matter experts and preceptors within specific health plans or conduct train-the-trainer sessions
  • Evaluate training needs and effectiveness of training programs, and communicate results to management
  • Maintain records of training activities and employee progress
  • Assist in auditing work performed by staff and present findings and recommendations for areas of improvement to management
  • Assist with revisions to policy and procedures and/or work process development
  • Share best training practices with other trainers
  • Research, analyze, and recommend external training programs
  • Travel as required
