About The Position

Who You'll Work With: The Vice President of Investor Relations will report to the Head of Investor Relations and Multi-Asset - Americas and will support the continued growth and expansion of AB’s Hedge Fund Solutions platform, working closely with business development professionals and Hedge Fund teams’ investment teams located in Nashville, New York, and London. This is a unique opportunity to learn and develop expertise in Hedge Fund solutions markets, with a focus on both fundamental and systematic strategies, at an established global asset management firm. Specific responsibilities of this role may include, but not be limited to: What You'll Do: Investor Relationship Management Serve as a senior point of contact for existing institutional investors, consultants, and prospective allocators Lead and participate in investor meetings, due diligence sessions, and ongoing relationship management Build deep, long-term relationships with pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices, and consultants Represent the firm at conferences, roadshows, and industry events Capital Raising & Strategic Support Support firm-wide fundraising efforts across strategies and products in a multi-manager platform Manage investor pipelines and contribute to capital allocation and capacity discussions Coordinate closely with senior IR leadership on fundraising strategy and investor targeting Assist in onboarding new investors and managing ongoing subscription and redemption activity Investor Reporting & Messaging Oversee the preparation and distribution of monthly and quarterly investor communications Work directly with Portfolio Managers to develop performance commentary and strategy updates Translate complex, multi-strategy investment information into clear, consistent investor messaging Review and maintain pitch materials, DDQs, RFPs, and ad hoc investor requests Internal Coordination & Platform Knowledge Partner with Portfolio Managers, risk, operations, legal, and compliance teams to ensure accurate and compliant investor communications Develop a strong understanding of the firm’s platform structure, risk framework, and portfolio construction approach Provide feedback to internal teams based on investor perspectives and market intelligence This position will provide the opportunity for: High level of exposure to senior investment professionals, including attending their investment strategy meetings An in-depth education of the global markets, instruments and investment strategies Involvement in bringing new business into the firm Interaction with many business units globally (US, EMEA, Asia, LatAm) including Product Development, Marketing, Legal and Compliance, Strategic Relationships, and Sales Being a major contributor to a growting team in a large growth area of the firm Career advancement in various areas

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (MBA or CFA preferred)
  • 6–10+ years of experience in investor relations, capital raising, or institutional client coverage within hedge funds or asset management
  • Experience working with institutional allocators and consultants
  • Strong understanding of multi-PM hedge fund structures, portfolio construction, and risk management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive-level polish
  • Ability to manage multiple strategies and stakeholder relationships simultaneously
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and judgment
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; CRM experience required
  • Highly motivated self-starter; ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
  • An understanding of the global alternatives marketplace: understanding client needs, market trends and the competitive landscape
  • BA/BS in Finance or related field
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Comfort engaging with sophisticated investors on performance drivers and market dynamics
  • Strong Hedge Fund experience
  • 10 years of work experience in the financial industry

Responsibilities
