About The Position

RMS Truck Bodies is expanding our team! Whether you’re an experienced mechanic, technician, or fabricator, or someone eager to train and build new skills, this is a great opportunity to work with hydraulic systems on custom truck bodies in a supportive shop that values teamwork, safety, and career advancement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency

Nice To Haves

• experience with hydraulics, light welding/fabrication, or 12V electrical (will train the right candidate)

Responsibilities

• Install, plumb, and commission hydraulic equipment on truck bodies (e.g., pumps, valves, cylinders, PTOs)
• Perform light fabrication/welding, mounting, and fit-up of equipment and accessories
• Route hoses and wiring; perform basic 12V electrical hookups and testing
• Read/use build sheets, drawings, and spec sheets; verify parts and configurations
• Troubleshoot hydraulic/mechanical issues and complete quality repairs
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Document work performed and parts used; other duties as assigned
