About The Position

Heavy Vehicle Body Fabricator Westminster, MD RMS Truck Bodies is expanding our team! Whether you're an experienced mechanic, technician, or fabricator, or someone eager to train and build new skills, this is a great opportunity to work with hydraulic systems on custom truck bodies in a supportive shop that values teamwork, safety, and career advancement. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency

Nice To Haves

  • experience with hydraulics
  • light welding/fabrication
  • 12V electrical (will train the right candidate)

Responsibilities

  • Install, plumb, and commission hydraulic equipment on truck bodies (e.g., pumps, valves, cylinders, PTOs)
  • Perform light fabrication/welding , mounting, and fit-up of equipment and accessories
  • Route hoses and wiring; perform basic 12V electrical hookups and testing
  • Read/use build sheets, drawings, and spec sheets; verify parts and configurations
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic/mechanical issues and complete quality repairs
  • Follow shop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Document work performed and parts used; other duties as assigned
