The Heavy Truck/Machinery Repair Shop Tech is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks and equipment, as well as diagnosing and repairing diesel/gas engines and heavy equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years as a heavy duty/diesel mechanic required
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift to 40 pounds
• Ability to listen, follow directions and a strong desire to enhance skills
• Ability to work independently or as a part of a team
• Flexible schedule with strong attendance is required

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Repair drive trains, electrical systems, hydraulic system and other components on heavy trucks and equipment.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to isolate mechanical failure and troubleshooting.
• Identify and solve mechanical and electrical issues such as motors, lights, air brakes, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance on heavy trucks and equipment.
• Operate vehicles to diagnose problems and to verify that the vehicle is repaired.
• Adhere to strict safety requirements and procedures.
