About The Position

Mustang Cat is hiring a skilled Heavy Truck Driver to transport light and heavy construction equipment to and from customer job sites and Mustang branch locations across Southeast Texas. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility position for a safety-conscious Class A CDL driver with experience hauling rental equipment. As a Heavy Equipment Haul Truck Driver, you’ll be responsible for the safe transport, loading, and unloading of Mustang Cat’s rental fleet. You’ll support equipment delivery across oilfield, pipeline, construction, and commercial sites—ensuring customer success from the first mile to the last.

Requirements

Class A CDL license required
Clean driving record (MVR, PSP, FMCSA Clearinghouse)
Minimum 1 year driving commercial DOT-regulated vehicle
Proven experience hauling construction equipment or similar heavy-duty loads
Working knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance
Familiarity with electronic logbooks and DOT log procedures
Ability to load, chain, and secure equipment independently

Responsibilities

Safely load, secure, transport, and unload heavy and light construction equipment
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Maintain daily logs, trip documentation, and truck inspection records
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of assigned truck (interior and exterior)
Provide courteous, professional service to internal teams and external customers
Follow all Mustang and DOT safety procedures without exception
