The Pratt & Whitney Oklahoma City Heavy Maintenance Center (HMC) Master Scheduler (MS) will provide daily planning and direction to the HMC value stream, ensuring alignment with the established schedule to support the disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of gas-turbine engines at the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility, in alignment with production delivery goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university w/minimum 2 years of experience OR a Master’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university OR Associate’s degree or 2-years of post High school training and 6 years of and directly related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proficient experience with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio required, including strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to primarily work 1st shift (0700–1600), with flexibility to work additional hours (e.g., early/late overtime and weekends) as needed to complete assigned tasks and fulfill mission requirements; may also be required to respond to job-related inquiries during off-hours.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP
  • Operational experience in an MRO engine facility
  • Process or manufacturing experience on gas-turbine engines
  • Demonstrated commitment to Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams on a wide variety of tasks and with limited supervision

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily short/long term (30/60/90) planning of engines and modules
  • Utilize SAP, program databases, and Microsoft office tools to plan inductions and control shop work-in-process (WIP) levels
  • Monitor gated metrics and communicate impacts to the schedule
  • Update production status boards and slides to reflect current status
  • Facilitate communication between operations, materials, and quality at the shop-floor level to ensure priorities are clear
  • Attend daily production meetings as needed to effectively communicate schedule requirements across all aspects of the public/private partnership.
  • Actively participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Utilize robust standard work and desktop procedures for HMC MS processes
  • Perform any other related functions or support other MRO production lines as required by management to ensure the success of the enterprise
