Maintains the Arduous Fitness Standard in accordance with Department policy. The incumbent is required to wear respiratory protection equipment, including self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). As such CAL/OSHA requires the incumbent to be annually medically cleared to be fit-tested for respiratory protection equipment. May be required to work nights, weekends or holidays in support of emergency incidents. The Unit expects a two-year commitment for all permanent assignments before granting transfer eligibility.

Requirements

• Valid California Drivers License (CDL)
• Medical Clearance prior to being hired
• Arduous Fitness Standard in accordance with Department policy
• Respiratory protection equipment, including self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)
• CAL/OSHA requires the incumbent to be annually medically cleared to be fit-tested for respiratory protection equipment

Benefits

• $6230 - $7694 Range A Base Salary (paid every month)
• $6838 - $8446 Range B Base Salary (paid every month)
• $2117 - $2615 Range A Extended Duty Week Compensation (paid every 4 weeks)
• $2324 - $2870 Range B Extended Duty Week Compensation (paid every 4 weeks)
• $102,281 - $126,323 Annual Compensation Range A
• $112,268 - $138,662 Annual Compensation Range B
