About The Position

Keep critical machines running strong. Vermeer All Roads in Colfax, NC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Road Tech to travel to customer sites and perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Vermeer and other construction equipment. This is an independent, hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of your work, providing timely, high-quality repairs and excellent customer service in the field.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Hands-on experience with hydraulics, hydrostatics, and electrical troubleshooting
• Welding experience required
• Ability to travel daily within the assigned territory
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
• Positive attitude with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer equipment as directed by the Service Manager
• Diagnose malfunctions in hydraulics, hydrostatic, and electrical systems
• Perform welding and fabrication work as needed
• Recommend and document appropriate repairs, including cost estimates
• Maintain accurate repair records and documentation
• Stay current with industry and technical advancements
• Communicate with the factory for technical support
• Perform other duties as assigned
