The Lead Painter position is responsible for successfully, efficiently, and accurately preparing and painting all equipment and components required by the service and assembly departments.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma and 5 years’ working experience in painting heavy equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail skills.
  • Good communications skills
  • Good, safe work habits.
  • Experience painting a variety of surface types.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience in heavy equipment operation a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing components, weldments, and equipment to be painted including occasional body work
  • Painting of components, weldments, and heavy equipment
  • Effectively complete each paint job in a timely, efficient, and professional manner
  • Work and manage workloads independently
  • Acts as a mentor for the Painter Apprentice
  • Complete other duties as assigned
