We are looking for mid to entirety level Heavy Equipment Operators to work with our crews building bridges, dams, boat ramps, roads, and boardwalks throughout the State of WI. Work week is Monday through Friday afternoon. $100.00 per day per diem for locations over 30 miles from Janke General Office in Athens WI., Monday through Thursday. Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment Overview: Operator Tier 4 is responsible for executing critical project tasks, managing the operation of specialized equipment, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with senior site personnel on operational strategies. In addition, Operator Tier 4 is accountable for the development and training of Operators Tiers 1-3. Roles and Responsibilities: Advanced Equipment Operation: ELiciently operate assigned equipment – All the previously mentioned tier with the added all company owned specially equipment. Leadership and Training: Train, mentor, and oversee Tier 1-3 operators in safe and eLective equipment handling, promoting best practices and enforcing site protocols to maintain high standards of safety and quality. Material Handling: Load and transport materials and/or heavy equipment when necessary Routine and Preventive Maintenance: Perform daily inspections of equipment, identify any mechanical issues, and communicate with the maintenance team for repairs and adjustments. Safety Protocols and Compliance: Lead by example in adhering to OSHA standards, site safety protocols, and company policies; participate in safety audits and risk assessments, identifying and mitigating potential hazards on-site. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive logs of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and incident reports. Communicate eLectively with senior site supervision and project management regarding site operations and challenges. Advanced Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct in-depth equipment inspections, complex troubleshooting, and on-site repairs. Collaborate with equipment maintenance teams for major repairs, proactively addressing potential issues before they impact project timelines. Operational Leadership and Strategy: Work closely with senior site supervision and project management to develop efficient equipment deployment strategies, ensuring maximum productivity and minimal downtime.
