About The Position

Central Transfer & Recycle Center (CRC), a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a highly motivated & safety driven, Heavy Equipment Operator, to work at our Transfer Station in Vancouver, WA. Pay range is $28-$29/HR DOE Schedule is Wednesday-Sunday Shift is 10:00 AM to Close (6:30 PM or 7:30 PM) with some overtime as needed. Safety Sensitive: Yes Qualified candidates must have 938 CAT Loader, 308 CAT Excavator, Forklift, Backhoe, Yard Truck and 53ft chassis/ Trailer experience. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 500-hours of Heavy Equipment Operating experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Basic knowledge of computer skills.
Pre-employment requirements for this safety sensitive position include drug panel screening, motor vehicle report, & criminal background check.
Ability to operate heavy equipment is required.
Knowledge of basic computer skills.
Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

Nice To Haves

Heavy Equipment Operating certification from an accredited trade school preferred.

Responsibilities

REQUIRES ability to efficiently & safely operate 938 CAT Loader, 308 CAT Excavator, Forklift, Backhoe, Yard Truck and 53ft chassis/ Trailer experience.
Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
