About The Position

Acher Western Construction is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for the WEGA/224214 Hard Labor, in Social Circle, GA. The primary function of this role is to operate a variety of Heavy Equipment at the site of work to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building type structures. Equipment operators are also expected to assist in other duties around the jobsite as needed and must operate equipment in compliance with company operating safety, policies, and procedures. Employees are provided the opportunity to work all over the U.S. in the Building, Transportation, and Water Divisions, and gain access to industry-leading training. Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Ability to be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 years of operating experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of Equipment to complete tasks such as clearing land, trimming backfill, and to move and/or transport materials such as dirt, rocks, and other types of aggregate.
• Have knowledge of operating procedures as it pertains to loading and unloading materials.
• Oil, grease, service, and make normal maintenance adjustments on equipment.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
• Complete paperwork and other documentation as required.
• Perform other related duties as required.
