About The Position
Under the general supervision of the Road and Bridge Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanic, the Heavy Equipment Mechanic is primarily responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and vehicles for the Road & Bridge department. This position Inspects, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment issues in conjunction with the Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
Requirements
- Experience: 1-2 years of continuous related experience in a construction field or mechanical field.
- Education: High School Diploma with Diesel Mechanic Certification or Auto Service Technology Certification. May substitute required certification for equivalent years of experience working with and servicing (repairing/maintaining) heavy machinery or auto service technology
- Driving Requirement: Class B CDL
