The company reported global sales of $2.1 billion in 2024. Belle Field currently has an opening for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at its Belle Fourche, SD facility. The position requires the individual be safety minded. Mechanic performs any and all tasks associated with repairing Wheel-Scrapers, Dozers, Loaders, Motor graders, Backhoes, Excavators, Articulated haul trucks, Skid Steers, Water pumps, Generators. Repairs to the Equipment will be conducted in or at shop facility, or out in the field using provided service truck.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Must have own tools
Knowledge of standard practices, materials, tools, and equipment used in repairs
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, air, brake
Current CDL
Clean MVR
Ability to: Stand or walk for long periods of time
Ability to: Bend, stretch, twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Ability to: Lift occasionally up to 75 lbs
Ability to: Fill out all necessary daily paperwork and/or safety related documents
Ability to: Recognize and respond to immediate safety concerns

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, maintain equipment and ensure any out of compliance issues are fixed in a timely manner
Keep work area clean and organized
Proper communication with staff about repairs made or needed
Document repairs made and parts used in repair process
