The ideal candidate will oversee the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment across job sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards, proper maintenance, and optimal productivity. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage technicians and equipment resources effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience supervising heavy equipment mechanics in industries such as construction, mining, or aggregates.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Supervisor, supervisory experience preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment operation, safety practices, and maintenance procedures.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project needs.
  • Mechanical skills and troubleshooting experience with heavy equipment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively as required by project locations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of heavy equipment operators to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Monitor equipment usage and performance, ensuring adherence to manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA/MSHA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Schedule and oversee routine maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Provide on-the-job guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to technicians
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment hours, maintenance logs, and operator performance.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues promptly to avoid delays or hazards.
  • Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
