About The Position

Superior Sales & Service is seeking skilled and dependable applicants to join our Plattsmouth, NE shop as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic. This role involves repairing and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and specialized rail equipment. Work is dispatched out of our shop but performed primarily in the field from a service truck. The position requires independence, problem-solving, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Overnight travel is required. In addition to engineering and fabrication, we offer sales of new tools and provide expert service and repair for hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric tools used in the field.

Requirements

Minimum of 36 months fleet maintenance or heavy-duty truck experience required
Strong background in hydraulics and troubleshooting
Must provide your own tools
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Comfortable working in all weather conditions and willing to travel overnight

Nice To Haves

Experience with hy-rail systems, booms, and cranes preferred
Diesel engine and electronic diagnostic skills a plus

Responsibilities

Perform repair and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and rail equipment, including hy-rail, booms, cranes, and brakes
Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues
Conduct diesel engine and electronic diagnostics (experience a plus)
Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
Complete accurate work orders, service records, and reports
Maintain and operate a service truck and tools in a professional manner
Provide reliable and timely service to customers in the field
